Human Resources (HR) Manager

 Established Jamaican-owned bakery and food chain with over 200 employees seeks organized, meticulous,
hardworking and systems-oriented Human Resources (HR) Manager




Job Summary:
 The individual will provide HR services and support in the areas of compensation, benefits, employee
relations, administration and recruitment
Duties and Responsibilities
 Implements creative methods in resolving diverse issues
 Ensure that company policies are communicated to staff and adhered to.
 Responsible for day to day HR functions including recruiting, staffing, hiring, training, development, and
disciplinary procedures.
 Lead staff recruiting efforts; serve as part of interview team.
 Lead staff training efforts, development opportunities, and evaluation of work performance
 Ensure appropriate disciplinary action when warranted and that grievances are settled expeditiously
 Provide administrative support to facilitate execution of projects.
 Develop and implement internal HR processes and procedures within the company guidelines.
 Interpret related policies and monitor compliance with appropriate laws and regulations.
 Assist in processing payroll.
 Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the Company Directors
 Conduct candidate screenings (via telephone Interviews and pre-interview assessments)
 Coordinate interviews (by liaising with hiring managers, contacting candidates, administering and
evaluating assessments)
 Assist with writing and periodically updating (company-wide) job descriptions
 Ensure that each employee has a signed, updated version of their job description on file
 Assist with updating employee handbook
Requirements:
 Minimum of bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or closely-related field.
 Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
 Knowledge of Jamaica Labour Laws.
 Excellent communications and inter personal skills.
 Detailed oriented and an effective multi tasker.

 Self- motivated, proactive, self-starter.Tenacity and grit, when needed.
 Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office applications.
 Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
