TRANSPORTATION CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE - REMOTE
Job Responsibilities
Working with shippers, receivers, customs brokers, customers, and potential customers over the phone and through email.
Managing activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met.
Tracking and tracing loads through out the shipment process. Updating customers on shipment status in a timely manner
Continually reviews freight costs, transportation rates, and/or the prices of different equipment to keep costs down where possible.
Updating shipment statuses and closing orders in dispatch software, uploading PODs into orders once a shipment has delivered.
Working with Accounting Team to ensure customer invoices are billed correctly to the Customer and any billing discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
Following SOP procedures when on boarding new partner carriers, the Maritimes department will be working with.
Qualifications
Administrative experience. Dispatch experience is a plus
Excellent Customer Service and geographical knowledge within North America an asset.
Outlook, Microsoft applications,
Must be a team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and must also be willing to be independent.
Strong ability to work well under pressure, meet strict deadlines
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate over the phone and using email.
Must have good negotiation skills be persuasive and energetic
