The Advance Program strengthens the capacity of select two and three-year technical tertiary institutions, providing market-relevant, quality training to disadvantaged youth in Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic. Advance works to strengthen degree programs in partnership selected academic institutions in five areas: curriculum design and pedagogy, teacher professional development, career services, admissions and recruitment, and local scholarships. Through this work, the Program seeks to enhance academic and employment opportunities for disadvantaged youth in each country. Advance is implemented by FHI 360, with support from USAID. In Jamaica,

Advance focuses on three industries: agribusiness, health and wellness tourism and creative industries. These industries were selected based on a labour market review. Advance also conducted a study of barriers to access and completion, to understand more about the issues that affect youth participation in tertiary technical education. www.advanceprogram.org

The Advance Program seeks candidates for the following consultancies:

A. Industry Specialists - Entertainment, Design and Production (EDP)

A consultancy team is required to provide industry expertise In entertainment, design, and production, focusing on lighting, sound, staging and stage craft for live events (indoor and outdoor). The consultancy team will train existing faculty on key lighting, stagecraft and wider entertainment production and design concepts. Consultants will also provide guest lectures during the period of performance and provide guidance on curriculum delivery especially considering remote learning including delivery and assessment approaches for good learner engagement and outcomes.

B. Coordinator - Students Showcase, Creative Industries Consultant

A consultant is required to design and coordinate a student showcase in collaboration with a selected technical tertiary Institution. The showcase should give the students an opportunity to engage industry experts, get feedback and get practical experience through job/work shadowing and observation.

C. Positive Youth Development (PYD) - Career Workbook and Video Production Consultant

The Advance Program is seeking the services of a company/ team to execute a 2-part project:

Research, consult and identify age appropriate, gender neutral career guidance materials

design hardcopies and softcopies of career guidance workbook with appropriate resources, tools, games, or activities suitable for:

secondary school students from grade 7 to the pre-tertiary level

parents

teacher

produce career guidance workbook for each target audience

produce supporting videos for the workbooks
