The Broadcasting Commission seeks to hire suitably qualified persons to fill the position of:

MEDIA MONITOR (Remote)


JOB PURPOSE:

To monitor content transmitted by broadcast radio and television, and document and report any possible problematic content

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor free-to-air radio and television stations and alert the Monitoring & Customer Service Manager of any possible problematic material Submit Monitoring Report at the end of each workday/shift

Weekly review of local and international music charts

Any other duties assigned to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Commission

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Excellent listening skills and a keen eye for detail

Analytical/critical thinking skills

Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision

Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications, video- conferencing software and music recognition apps

Knowledge of latest news and trends in music, popular culture, and entertainment

Ability to read, write, speak and understand

English, Jamaican Patois and slangs (Jamaican &

North American)

Strong interpersonal skills

High level of integrity and professionalism

QUALIFICATION:

Six CAPE Units and/or pursuing Tertiary Education
