SMC Teach is an initiative created in response to national school closures around the world as a result of COVID 19. That is now heavily impacting student’s education, mental health and general outlook on life.
We are looking for a well-educated and energetic online tutor to join our growing team who will motivate children to learn, grow and thrive in a safe, supportive environment. Also with a proven track record in one-on-one tutoring students age 11-15, the highest level of clarity and professionalism in written and spoken English, comfortable with modern peer-to-peer computer interfaces (teleconferencing), and an expertise in one of the following areas of study:
+ MATHS
+ SCIENCE
Responsibilities:
-Work with student to develop a tutoring plan that fits student’s individual needs
-Prepare tutoring sessions to ensure the student’s academic development
-Offer assistance with developing study strategies
-Monitor the students’ progress throughout tutoring session and provide feedback
-Participate in tutor training and development sessions
Requirements:
-Excellent written and spoken communication skills (in English)
-Verifiable recognized teaching qualification or current enrollment in university level education with classroom experience and one on one tutoring either face to face or online
-Enthusiastic, engaging and encouraging teaching style
-Excellent subject knowledge with a proven track record of delivering to students aged 11 - 15
-Great organizational skills and ability to understand student needs
-Strong passion for teaching minds and touching lives
-Computer with working camera and microphone
