The Trelawny Health Services (a Statutory Body under the Ministry of Health) requires
Hospital Attendant- Porters (HSC/HS 1) for the Falmouth Public General
Hospital (Field Hospital)
Reporting to the Chief Orderly, the Hospital Attendant (Porter) is responsible to:
Responsibilities
► Transport patients by wheelchair and stretchers, to areas around the hospital and
health centre as requested.
Lift and support patients who are unable to walk.
► Delivery of food, linen, drugs, mail, medical gases to wards and other areas of the
hospital
► Provide support to ambulatory patients.
Assist with ambulance duties as required.
► Cleaning of wheelchairs, stretchers and trolleys and scrubbing of the corridor as
required.
► Perform any other duties assigned
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
→ Secondary Education
> Minimum two (2) years experience in a similar capacity
REQUIREMENTS
► Good mental and physical health.
Proactive work attitude and good interpersonal relation skills
► Ability to work on own initiative.
