E-Commerce Merchandising Specialist


Canadian based e-commerce start-up is seeking e-Commerce Merchandising Specialists who will
be responsible for building and merchandising digital content, ensuring the content is presented 

with quality and accuracy, and verifying that the merchandised product aligns with the event 
theme.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Monitor key trading tasks such as stock management, fragmentation, and product returns.
• Liaise closely with merchandising, operations, and customer service teams to improve 
efficiencies, trade, and customer experience.
• Manage new product uploads, category builds, product detail maintenance, and promotional 
activities.
• Liaise with various teams for regular and ad-hoc CMS tasks and initiatives.
• Be highly involved in UAT site testing for development projects and the regular site walks to 
ensure 100% accuracy at all times.
• Collaborate with the e-Commerce team for onsite optimizations such as product 
recommendations, upselling/cross-selling opportunities, and search improvements.
• Assisting with the day-to-day coordination of e-Commerce marketplace activities, e.g., product 
uploads, reporting, organizing stock transfers.
• Reporting on e-Commerce trade performance including KPIs, providing data-driven insight, and 
conducting deep dives were needed to better understand shopping behaviors and trends.
• Constantly reviewing catalog status and reporting to ensure the Online Store is a creative 
reflection of our full product assortment.
• Ensures consistent attention to detail in prioritizing products or creating product suggestions.
• Constantly working with reporting to ensure sales and merchandising goals are being met.
• Responsible for display of both product listing pages and product pages.
• Ensure high image quality as well as asset specifications are met to optimize page speed and 
meet brand standards.
• Collaborate internally with the eCommerce team for onsite enhancements such as 
upselling/cross-selling opportunities and SEO improvements.
• Maintain site integrity by suggesting and performing regular refreshes of content in 
collaboration with the Sales Merchandiser, eCommerce Analyst, and Creative team.
• Monitor product presentation and customer experience enhancements to ensure best-in-class 
experience across all devices by performing weekly site QA reviews

Minimum Education Requirements
• High School Diploma
• Three (3) CXC/CSEC subjects
• First Degree in any discipline is an asset
Key Competencies & Requirements
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently and as part of a team and follow through 
on objectives.
• Proven working experience in merchandising on a similar role.
• Highly organized and detail oriented with the skill to learn quickly, take initiative, and adapt 
easily to changes and new business practices.
• Familiarity with a wide range of ecommerce marketing and sales strategies.
• An understanding of e-Commerce UX, content and development projects, and intuitive 
knowledge of how users interact and shop in a digital environment.
• Excellent ability to analyze data and propose commercial objectives.
