Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking to identify a suitable candidate to join our Premium Accounts team in the capacity of,



Co-op Assistant (Contract)



The selected candidate will have responsibility to update computer records with information from salary deduction forms and process salary deducted payments.



Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Process all requests for change in method of payment to Salary Deduction option.
Process refunds from Unprocessed and Unidentified Suspense accounts.
Process transfers from Unprocessed and Unidentified Suspense accounts.
File all Journal Vouchers and Requisitions monthly as stipulated by the department.
Prepare monthly reports for all refund/ transfer processed by the stipulated due date.
Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.



Academic Qualifications/ Specialized Skills/ Competencies:
Six (6) CSEC general proficiency subjects including Mathematics and English Language.
LOMA (Parts 1 and 2) or other industry related designations would be an asset.
Two (2) years’ working experience including one (1) year experience in an operations division of a life insurance company.
Excellent human relations, time management and analytical skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Expert knowledge of insurance policies and processes.
Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
Working knowledge of computer applications including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
