Sales Development Representative



Job Summary 

We are looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team. As a member of our sales team, you will work across two lines of business -- Achieve Test Prep & Smarter with Achieve. You will manage inbound leads, with 80% of your appointments set by an appointment setting team.


As a member of this growing team, you will qualify B2C opportunities. You will serve as the primary Advisor to leads who are interested in learning about and using our services. When there is a match between what the lead is seeking and our services, you will close the sale, then hand the new customer off to a high touch, white-glove Customer Success team.

Our ideal team member will be highly organized, goal-oriented, and extremely self-motivated. No one-trick ponies. You must be able to recognize and adapt to leads who are ready to close on their first appointment, as well as nurture those who require multiple engagements before they close.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Make 30+ calls a day
  • 80% of your call appointments are set by a calendar booking team
  • 20% of your remaining time used for outbound calls to high lead score segment
  • Using SMS, email, LinkedIn Messenger and phone to reach each contact
  • Run discovery calls and collect critical information
  • Actively manage your inbound leads 
  • Close deals on your own
  • Answer questions about product and service features

 

Desired Skills and Experience

At least three years of sales experience

  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to relate to others
  • Positive attitude and highly motivated to reach/exceed quota
  • Highly coachable, eager to learn and grow their career
  • Willingness to work closely with others in a collaborative manner
  • High level of comfort and knowledge of technology-based communication tools
  • Minimum Associates degree
